ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson University men's tennis team won its third consecutive match by outpacing Tusculum, 7-2, Saturday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Tennis Courts.
Anderson (10-5, 8-0 SAC) won two-of-three doubles' points to gain an early advantage on Tusculum (8-8, 2-3 SAC), then claimed the first five points on the singles' side for the victory.
The Anderson tandem of Krystof Gulbinovic and Deni Mehagic defeated Tusculum's Paul Wiederspahn and Steven Lin, 8-4, at No. two, then at No. three doubles, junior Loic Ambroise and sophomore Trey Halbauer got past John Taylor and Drew Kiser, 8-4, to give the Trojans a 2-1 edge.
Anderson then won five-of-six singles' points to take the win and stay on top of the league standings.
Anderson will get back on the courts Tuesday, when the Trojans open a three-match road swing at Wingate. The Trojans and Bulldogs are scheduled to get underway at 2:30 p.m.
