ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson men's tennis team opened its home slate with an 8-1 loss to 11th-ranked Lander Wednesday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.
Anderson (1-3) dropped its third consecutive match of the spring slate, while Lander stayed undefeated at 4-0.
Anderson junior Loic Ambroise outlasted Lander's Samuel
Poutignat, 7-5, 4-6, 10-2, at the No. 5 singles spot to earn the
Trojans' lone win of the afternoon and his second of the
season.
Anderson opens South Atlantic Conference play Saturday at
Lenoir-Rhyne, with first-serve slated for 1 p.m.
