Men's Golf In Fifth Place After First Round

MOUNT GLEAD, N.C. -- The Anderson University men's golf team is tied for fifth place after the first round of The Preview at Tillery at the Tillery Tradition Golf Club Monday. First-round leader Queens University of Charlotte shot a 292. Coker is second at 296, and Mount Olive is third at 296. Anderson is tied with host Pfeiffer in fifth place in the 12-team field at 304. Garland Smith led Anderson with a 74. He was followed by Adam Sheriff 75, Chase Epting 77, and Ryan Booth 78. The individual leader after the first round is Kevin Lyles of Fayetteville State, who shot a 69.
