Men's Golf Team Finishes Ninth

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The Anderson University men's golf team failed to gain in the ground in the final two rounds of the 2006 CVAC Tournament Friday at the Hartsville Country Club. Anderson shot 311-309 to finish in ninth place at 934 in the 54-hole event. Host Coker shot 289-284 in the final two rounds for a total of 864 and a 15-shot victory over second-place Belmont Abbey. Pfeiffer was third at 882, St. Andrews Presbyterian was fourth at 908, Barton was fifth at 911, Limestone was sixth at 917, Queens (N.C.) and Mount Olive tied for seventh at 928, Anderson was ninth, and Lees-McRae was 10th. Anderson was led in the final two rounds by Adam Sheriff, who shot 76-73.
