NEW LONDON, N.C. -- The Anderson College men's golf team slumped to a 316 in Tuesday's final round to finish 15th in the Johnny Palmer/Old North State at the Old North State Golf Club. Anderson finished the 54-hole event at 945, seven shots behind Queens University of Charlotte and Catawba, who finished tied for 13th place. Anderson was led by freshman Adam Sheriff, who recorded an even-par 72 in the final round. Sherriff finished in a five-way tie for 17th at 225. Anderson's other three scores in the final round were Curtis Norwood 78; and Kurt Owings and Clay Williamson, who both shot 83. Host Pfeiffer won the event with a final round 281 for a three-round total of 881, 14 shots better than both Lenior-Rhyne and USC Upstate. UNC Greensboro's Ryan Heisey won the individual title with a total of 212 (72-70-70).
