THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Kyle Owings of Anderson College was named to the first team of the 2003 CVAC all-conference team Friday. Owings, a junior from Pauline, S.C., is a three-time All-CVAC selection. This is the first time he has been selected to the first team. This spring, Owings has averaged 75.5 strokes in eight rounds. He won the AC Invitational at Brookstone Meadows in a playoff last September. This spring, he has two second-place finishes in four tournaments. His lowest 36-hole total of the spring was 142 (71-71) at the Bill Hill Memorial in N. Charleston, S.C., Mar. 17-18.
