Men's Golf In 10th After First Round At Catawba

SALISBURY, N.C. -- The Anderson College men's golf team is in 10th place but just seven strokes out of second place after the first round of the Rendleman Invitational at the Crescent Golf Club Monday. The Trojans shot 306 and trail tournament leader Pfeiffer, the No. 1 ranked team in Division II, by 14 shots. The Falcons lead the 18-team event with a 292, and Presbyterian is in second place at 299. Anderson was led by senior Reed Brown and freshman Brad Eskierka, who both shot 76 in the first round. Kyle Owings added a 77, and Jon Hines shot 79 for the Trojans. The second round will be played Tuesday morning.
