BADIN, N.C. - Jon Hines shot a 2-over 74 to lead Anderson College in the first round of the Johnny Palmer/Old North State Tournament at the par-72, 6,800-yard Old North State Club Tuesday. The Trojans shot a team score of 310 in the first round and stand in 20th place in the 24-team field entering Tuesday's final round. Barton and the University of the South both shot 9-under 279 in the first round to lead host Pfeiffer by two shots and Berry by three shots. AC's other scores on Tuesday were: Kyle Owings 75, Brad Eskierka 79, Denton Moore 82, and Jon Ferguson 82.
