ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson University rising senior Blake May continues to add to his impressive list of credentials on the baseball diamond, as the stellar third baseman was recently named to the 2011 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division II Southeast Region Gold Glove Team.
May posted a stellar .967 fielding percentage during the 2011 campaign, committing just five errors while starting all 50 games for the Trojans. On the offensive side, he was fifth on the squad with a .274 batting average. May was also named to the 2011 South Atlantic Conference Gold Glove Team.
Montevallo's Heather Peterson and Alex Guilford, Limestone's Micah Robinson, Carson-Newman's Cody Nix, Columbus State's Eric Skinner, Francis Marion's Brian Paulhus and Budd Sosnoskie and Armstrong's Michael Price joined May on the Gold Glove Team.
The ABCA All-Southeast Region and Gold Glove teams are selected by a vote of the coaches in the region.
