ANDERSON, S.C. -- Blake May, a 6-foot-0, 180-pound infielder/pitcher from Largo, Fla., has signed a national letter of intent with the Anderson University baseball program, head coach Joe Miller announced Monday. May, who played for former Florida Marlin and Anderson University player Rob Stanifer, was a four-year starter and team captain for the Largo Packers. He hit .435 with five home runs and 29 RBI in 2008. He also made 13 appearances on the mound and struck out 39 in 26 innings. "We're excited about the addition of Blake to our program," Miller said. "We look forward to Black being a very dangerous two-way player for us during the next four years." May was named Largo's MVP in both '07 and '08 and was selected All-County in '07 and '08.
