ANDERSON, S.C. – After taking home top honors in the 2024 South Atlantic Conference women's golf tournament, the Anderson University Trojans have been selected as the No. 3 seed for the 2024 NCAA South Regionals hosted at the Cleveland Country Club on May 6-8.
Joining them in the field will be Flagler who claims the top seed for the week with Nova Southeastern sitting as the No. 2 seed ahead of the Black and Gold. Rollins, Barry, Lynn, Lee and Saint Leo round out the top eight seeds for the tournament. Fellow SAC members Wingate and Limestone hold the No. 9 and No. 10 seeds for the week while West Florida, the Gulf South Conference champion, and North Greenville, the Conference Carolinas champion, round out the teams competing.
In addition, six individuals, the top ranked golfers whose teams weren't selected, were also announced to the field. Ana Maria Jimenez Rios (Tampa), Sandra Eriksson (Eckerd), Lauren Martin (Lincoln Memorial), Charlotte Colley (Lenoir-Rhyne), Kajsa Lindqvist (Lander) and Josefine Winkle (Lander) wrap up the field for the week.
Anderson will tee off in the first round on Monday, May 6 starting at 8:00 a.m. on the first tee at Cleveland Country Club, paired with players from Flagler and Nova Southeastern. The tournament will feature split tee pairings with tee times from 8:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. for the rest of the week.
The Trojans will look to finish in the top five teams at the end of the three-day tournament to punch their ticket to the 2024 NCAA National Championships at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, Fla. on May 21-25.
