Game #1
Anderson 5, St. Andrews 2

The Trojans wasted no time getting off to a strong start, capitalizing on a St. Andrews error in the leadoff inning that allowed freshman Danielle Swygert to reach base. The next batter, Emily Monteith singled to push Swygert to third base and freshman Abby Child followed with a single to bring Swygert across home plate for the first Trojans' run of the game. The second run of the inning occurred during the next at bat when Laura Jansky grounded out to third. The freshman's RBI pushed the score to 2-0.

In the top of the third inning, with two outs and runners on first and second, Charlotte Seiber singled to score Monteith and gave the Trojans the 3-0 lead. St. Andrews struck back in the bottom of the third inning, scoring two runs off one hit and a Trojan error.

The Trojans went in the final inning with a 4-2 lead and by capitalizing on a St. Andrews error and a sacrifice bunt, they were able to score a final time when Amber Duncan came across off Kayla Hipp single.

Child led the Trojans, going three-for-four. The freshman also tallied two RBI on the day as well. Hipp went a perfect two-for-two with an RBI.

Waldroup went all seven innings for the Trojans, surrendering just two runs off one lone hit.

Game #2
Anderson 13, St. Andrews 0

Anderson used two six-run innings to win its second game of the day, one of the innings being the leadoff inning. With Swygert and Monteith on base, and Abby Child batting in the top of the first, Anderson got on the board as St. Andrews committed a costly error to make the score 1-0. Two batters later, with the bases loaded, Seiber singled to make the score 2-0. The Trojans produced two more runs as Kinsley Durham and Brooke Lucas walked, both with the bases loaded to make the score 4-0. One batter later, Swygert came to the plate for the second time in the inning and a second error from St. Andrews allowed Lucas and Durham to score, giving the Trojans a 6-0 lead.

With a comfortable lead, Anderson added to their total in the third inning when Swygert hit a towering home run over the right field fence. The home run gave the freshman her fifth on the season.

The Trojans used another six-run inning in the fifth to put an early end to the second game of the day. With Lucas, Lyndsey Huitt and Monteith on base, Abby Child displayed plate discipline that produced a walk as well as another run for Anderson. After a run-producing balk, Duncan hit a three-run home run to make the score 12-0. The shot was Duncan's second on the season.

Child recorded two RBI and went two-for-three. Duncan went one-for-two and led Anderson with three RBI.

Deer (6-3) started the game for Anderson, grabbing her sixth win on the season. The senior pitched the complete game shutout, her ninth complete game on the year.
