Men’s Tennis Set to Host No. 6 Columbus State

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson men's tennis is set to host No. 6 Columbus State in nonconference match on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the AU Tennis Complex.

- Anderson is coming off of an 8-1 season opening victory over USC Sumter.

- In singles action, senior Juan Carracedo, junior Ramiro Urreta, freshman Jeffrey Dayton, Preston Morpeth and Jerry Price all won their match in two sets.

- Doubles partners Nicolas Ascarrunz and Dayton won 8-1 in the No. 1 slot while Carracedo and Price put away their opponents, 8-1, at the No. 2 position.

- Columbus State is currently ranked No. 6 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

- In singles play, the Cougars have three players ranked in the top 50 nationally. KP Pannu (No. 17), Jorge Vargas (No. 39) and Zach Whaanga (No.47).
