HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Unable to get back into the win column for the third straight match, Anderson University men's tennis dropped to South Atlantic Conference opponent and nationally-ranked Coker, 6-3, Saturday afternoon at the Coker Tennis Courts.

The loss drops the Trojans to 1-4 on the season and an even 1-1 mark in SAC play, while the Cobras earn their first victory of the 2014 campaign and their first ever SAC win in program history after making the transition from Conference Carolinas this season.

Anderson's sophomore tandem of Tomas Passalacqua and Inaki Iriberry earned the team's lone doubles win on the afternoon, as they defeated Tom Sizeland and Zach Grooms at the No. 3 position, 8-2.

The Trojans were unable make up ground in the singles round; earning two victories as sophomore Paul Michael Calhoun defeats James Corfield at the No. 4 position, 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Senior Danilo Faria added AU's second win in the singles round with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Zach Grooms at the No. 6 spot.

Coker, which entered the match ranked No. 35 nationally, earned a tiebreaking victory at No. 1 doubles and three-set wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles.

Anderson will have a quick turnaround as it welcomes Tusculum to the Upstate on Sunday. First serve from Max Grubbs Memorial Courts is slated for 1 p.m.
