Homecoming and Family Day Information

ANDERSON, S.C. - As the Anderson University campus prepares for its 2023 Homecoming and Family Day this weekend, the Anderson Univeristy athletic department has announced some additional details to assist those attending events on the Athletic Campus throughout the weekend.

Black and Gold Football Game FAQ

Parking: The parking lot at the Athletic Campus will be cleared out Friday evening and be open for general parking on Saturday. There is additional parking available at the Softball Stadium, the grass lot by the softball stadium as well as the grass lot located aross the street from the Tennis Complex. Handicap parking has been reserved in the nearest spots to the stadium in the general parking lot.

Concessions: Food and drink will be available for purchase on site as well as a selection of Anderson University athletics gear. In addition, AU Outfitters will have a pop-up shop located just outside of Spero Financial Field from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Tickets: No ticket is needed to attend any athletic event during the day, including all Alumni Games/Scrimmages as well as the regular season soccer games after the football scrimmage.

Homecoming Court: The Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime of the Black and Gold football scrimmage.

New Traditions: Be sure to stick around till the end of the football game to take part in some of the new traditions that we are building at Anderson, more information will be given at the event.

Rosters: Rosters of the two teams (offense and defense) will be available to pick-up at the gate and is provided free of charge.

Game Format: The Black and Gold football scrimmage will be an Offense vs. Defense scrimmage. The teams will play four 15 minute quarters with the 3rd and 4th quarters featuring a running game clock. Offensive scoring is typical football scoring with a touchdown counting for 6 points, an extra point counting as 1 point and a field goal counting as 3 points. Defensive scoring is 4 points for a turnover, 6 points for a turnover for a touchdown and 3 points for a defensive stop. The Anderson cheerleading squad will be performing during the 3rd and 4th quarter break.

Video Streaming: The Black and Gold scrimmage will be available for viewing on FloSports, the official streaming partner of the South Atlantic Conference.
