Cardona and Woods Named Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week

ANDERSON, S.C. – Ivan Cardona and Camryn Woods of the Anderson University men's and women's soccer teams have been named the Jimmy John's players of the week, for the week ending October 1st.

Cardona, a freshman from Cali, Colombia, notched a hat trick in Anderson's dominant 4-0 win over Emory & Henry. The three goals were the first of his collegiate career, while tallying an assist in the prior week's draw versus Lenoir Rhyne on September 20th.

Woods, a sophomore from Bettendorf, Iowa was a huge part of women's soccer two wins during the week of September 25th. Coming back after missing three weeks, due to a knee injury, Woods recorded an assist in AU's win over Limestone and was credited with an assist and the game-winning goal in the victory over Emory & Henry.

Each week, two student-athletes are honored as the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week for his or her performance in competition, in the classroom, or in the community.
