NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Anderson University women's golf team is in eighth place after the first round of the 11-team Charleston Southern Fall Classic Monday at the Coosaw Creek Country Club. Host Charleston Southern (300) is in first place followed by Coastal Carolina (305), and Bethune Cookman (311). Anderson (340) was led by Laura Buyers, who shot 82. Sophie Dembroski and Kalyn Johnson both shot 85, and Hayley Parks and Anna Jenks both shot 88 for AU. Madison Jeter of Charleston Southern and Jessica Vincent of Coastal Carolina share the first-round individual lead at 1-over 72.
