Trojan Track and Field Wraps Up Competition at Tiger Paw Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Anderson men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition on the final day of the Tiger Paw Invitational, hosted at Clemson's Indoor Track and Field Complex on Saturday.

The Trojan throwers highlighted Anderson's efforts, as sophomore Brooklyn Watt placed 15th in the shot put with a toss of 12.09 meters, while D'Yandra Morris was just behind with a distance of 11.93 meters to claim 17th.

On the men's side, sophomore Nathan Plank garnered 23rd in the shot put with a toss of 12.37 meters.

Sophomore Madison Guest claimed 20th in the women's 800 meter in a time of 2:24.38, with teammate Kathryn Purinton (2:39.71) crossing the line in 64th .

Sophomore Joshua Visi-Clark garnered 51st in the men's 800 meter in a time of 2:06.07, with freshman Tucker Huelmantel crossing the line in 2:08.96 to earn 63rd.

Sophomore Sydney Hazel (5:38.10) took 68th and Rachel Westberry (5:52.86) claimed 77th in the women's one mile run, with junior Re'Jenia Evans bringing home 59th in the 200 meter run.

Amanda Mahaffey finished 48th in the women's 3000 meter run, posting a time of 11:59.15, while Parks Edwards (9:26.17) notched 50th in the men's 3000 meter. Alex Pena (9:34.99) and junior Matt Imes (10:10.17) placed 55th and 63rd respectively.

The Trojans are scheduled to open their outdoor slate on March 1-2 at Lenoir-Rhyne's Powersox Invitational.
