ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson men's tennis (5-5, 1-4 SAC) travel for another Wednesday road match to take on the 45th-ranked Carson-Newman Eagles (4-4, 2-1 SAC). Both teams seek to get back on track with a win. The Trojans dropped a 6-1 decision at Tusculum Sunday, while the Eagles lost to No. 24 Lee the same day.

  • The Eagles look for a bounce back performance after losing their last two matches to Catawba and #24 Lee in a back-to-back set.

  • In singles, the team is led by Marc Janse, who has five wins to his name this season.

  • Carson-Newman entered the national rankings on March 13th, following a 4-3 home win over Limestone.

  • On the doubles court, Janse and partner Yehor Opanasenko have made their mark at the No. 3 spot, winning five of their six matches at the position.

Carson-Newman claimed a 6-1 win in a ranked battle with the Trojans last season. The visiting Eagles secured the doubles point and clinched the match with three singles victories. With the match clinched 4-1, Carson-Newman added a pair of wins in third-set super tiebreakers.
