ROCK HILL, S.C. – Garrett Hawkins and Hunter Klosterman of the Anderson University men's lacrosse team have been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Lacrosse Offensive and Specialist Players of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday (Mar. 27).
Hawkins, a junior midfielder from Clover, S.C., had three goals, two assists, and two ground balls in the 12-8 win over Catawba on Saturday. His second assist of the game gave him his 100th career point as a Trojan.
Klosterman, a freshman goalkeeper from Cumming, Ga., had 16 saves with a 66.7% save percentage in the win over Catawba on Saturday. He also assisted on a goal for the Trojans. On the season, Klosterman has 85 saves and a 6-0 win-loss record. This marks the second consecutive week in which he has earned SAC Specialist of the Week honors.
The No.9 Trojans will be back in action on Wednesday (Mar. 29) as they travel to face the No.19 Newberry Wolves. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m., with video and live stats available on autrojans.com.
