Trojans Set for Highly Anticipated Showdown with Rollins

ANDERSON, S.C. – The No.15 Anderson University men's lacrosse team is preparing to take on the nationally ranked Rollins College Tars on Friday (Feb. 24) at Spero Financial Field.

Rollins enters Friday's contest with a 1-0 record, coming off a 13-11 victory over ninth ranked Limestone. The Tars will take on 17th ranked Newberry on Sunday (Feb. 26) to complete the three-game road trip. Rollins is ranked 9th in the USILA poll, 8th in Inside Lacrosse, and 11th for USA Lacrosse Magazine.

The Trojans picked up two non-conference home wins last week by defeating Lees-McRae by a score of 22-5 on Feb. 15, and a 23-3 victory over Young Harris on Saturday (Feb. 18). Anderson remains nationally ranked in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA at No.15, USA Lacrosse Magazine (No.14), and Inside Lacrosse (No.14) after a 5-0 start to the season.

Anderson has swept SAC Player of the Week honors back-to-back weeks. After the wins over Lees-McRae and Young Harris, Logan Gaddis, Chase Robertson, and Cam Weeks were recognized. The week prior, Matthew Rodgers, Peyton Jefferson, and Cam Weeks earned recognition. Weeks earned USILA D2 Team of the Week honors this week, while Robertson and Rodgers did the week before.

Anderson returns to Spero Financial Field on Friday (Feb. 24) as they play host to nationally ranked Rollins College at 7:00 p.m. with video and live stats available at autrojans.com.
