Women’s Cross Country Remains Steady in Regional Poll

NEW ORLEANS – As it was in both the preseason and in the first week's poll, the Anderson University women's cross country team is ranked third in the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) Southeast Regional Rankings, as released Tuesday afternoon.

The Peach Belt Conference placed five teams in the women's poll, with the South Atlantic Conference earning four slots and Mount Olive representing Conference Carolinas.

This week's top five teams in the rankings remained unchanged as Queens, Mount Olive, Anderson, North Georgia and Wingate held on to the spots they've held since the preseason rankings were published.

Flagler and Georgia College each moved up one spot to sixth and seventh, respectively, while Augusta fell two slots to eighth in this week's poll. UNC Pembroke remained steady at No. 9, with Lenoir-Rhyne making its first appearance at No. 10.

After winning the Southern Wesleyan Warrior Invitational earlier this month, the Trojans return to action Saturday, at the North Georgia Cross Country Invitational.
