THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Anderson University's Amanda Edwards (17-16, 12-5) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's volleyball Player of the Week for week nine of the 2007 season. This is the second time this year that Edwards, a junior from Azle, Texas, has received the award. Edwards tied a career high with 23 kills against Belmont Abbey on Oct. 24. She averaged 5.42 kills per game last week and had a hitting percentage of .506 to lead Anderson to victories over Belmont Abbey and Pfeiffer. Entering the final week of the regular season, Anderson has won five of its last six matches.
