ROCK HILL, S.C. -- As the 2024 season approaches in the coming weeks, the Anderson University women's lacrosse team was picked to finish seventh in the South Atlantic Conference at the end of the season in the Coaches Preseason Poll while earning two berths on the Preseason All-Conference Team. Sophomores Jackie Tiongco (Memphis, Tenn.) and Alicia Cannon (Tarzana, Calif.) each earned the honor with Cannon being named to the First-Team while Tiongco picked up Second-Team honors.
Wingate was picked to finish atop the poll, receiving 11 first place votes and 121 points total.
Newberry earned the No. 2 spot with 109 points, while Limestone collected the remaining first place vote to earn the No. 3 spot with 100 points. Following at No. 4 was UVA Wise with 89 points and Lincoln Memorial at No. 5 with 74 points.
Lenoir-Rhyne claimed the No. 6 spot in the poll with 72 points, while Anderson was voted No. 7 with 69 points. Tusculum earned 54 points at No. 8 place followed by Catawba with 37 at No. 9.
Rounding out the preseason poll was Mars Hill at No. 10 with 34 points, Coker at No. 11 with 19 points, and Emory & Henry at No. 12 with 14 points.
