Lady Trojans Within Two Shots Of Second

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Brandi Jackson shot 76 and Carlie Eastman shot 78 to lead Anderson College to a 325 team score in the second round of the 2005 CVAC Tournament Monday at Hartsville Country Club. After two rounds, Anderson is at 662, just two shots behind second-place Limestone and 14 shots behind tournament leader Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer repeated its first-round 324 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 648 to increase its first-round lead over Limestone from four shots to 12 shots. Limestone shot a 332 in the second round and is second at 660. Following Anderson are St. Andrews Presbyterian at 716 and Queens University of Charlotte at 723. The individual leader after two rounds is Fiona Hindshaw of Pfeiffer, who shot a 74 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 151. Holly Tompkins of Limestone (77-79) is second, and Heather Pothier of St. Andrews (77-81) is third. Both Jackson and Eastman are in the top seven. Jackson is sixth at 161, and Eastman is seventh at 163. Anderson's other two scores in the second round on the par-72, 5,800-yard Hartsville course were Darcie Davis 84 and Jenny Odle 87. Davis (80-84) is in eighth place in the individual standings. The final round will be played Tuesday morning. CVAC Tournament Second-Round Results
