ANDERSON, S.C. -- West Florida fired a 321 in the second round to cruise to victory in the third annual Anderson College Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the par-72, 5,800-yard Brookstone Meadows Golf Club. West Florida shot the best first round (312) and the best second round (321) to win the tournament with a tournament-record total of 633. The previous team record for the 36-hole event was 648 by Northern Kentucky in 2002. Nova Southeastern (652) finished second, Pfeiffer, with a 339 in the final round, was third at 680; and Catawba was fourth at 691. Host Anderson slumped to a 365 in the second round and finished seventh at 705. Three of the five members of the all-tournament were from West Florida. Lorena Fortlage of West Florida won the individual title with a 36-hole total of 155 (75-80). Sarah Nicholson of West Florida was second at 156 (79-77), and Clara Fornella of West Florida was third at 158 (78-80). The other two members of the all-tournament team were Paige Haverty of Catawba at 159 (79-80) and Jennis Mostrom of Nova Southeastern at 161 (83-78). Anderson's low individual was Carlie Eastman, who tied for 11th at 165 (80-85).
