USTFCCCA Southeast Region Cross Country Poll Remains Unchanged in Week Two

NEW ORLEANS – The Anderson University women's and men's cross country teams remained third and fifth, respectively in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) DII Regional Rankings, as released Tuesday afternoon.  

The entire top-10 in both polls remained unchanged, with the Trojan women staying third in the rankings as one of four South Atlantic Conference squads in the poll. Queens sits atop the rankings, with Mount Olive as the lone Conference Carolinas' representative at No. 2. North Georgia trails AU at No. 4, with Wingate in fifth.

Augusta continues to occupy the sixth slot, with Georgia College, Flagler, UNC Pembroke and Lenoir-Rhyne rounding out the women's rankings.   

The men's poll features five teams from the Peach Belt, alongside four from the SAC and one from Conference Carolinas. Perennial regional powerhouse Mount Olive remained at No. 1 in the poll, with Queens at No. 2 and Augusta
In the third spot. UNC Pembroke and AU rounded out the top five.

Columbus State remained sixth, with Georgia College at seventh. Flagler is eighth, with Lincoln Memorial and Lenoir-Rhyne at ninth and 10th, respectively.        

Anderson is scheduled to get back on the course Saturday at the USC Upstate Invitational.
