ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson College track and field teams opened April with trips to Emory University in Atlanta Apr. 1-2 and Duke University in Durham, N.C., Apr. 8-9. At Emory, Matt Atkinson set school records in both the 10,000 meters and the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Kipp Chrismer qualified for the finals in the 200 meters and finished fourth (23.10) in the event. At Duke, Chrismer finished third in the 100 meters (11.48) and fifth in the 200 meters (22.42). Ethan Schaffner set a school record in the 5,000 meters (16:02.75), and Atkinson set a school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:48.56).
