ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson College track and field teams set school records in the first two outdoor meets of the spring at Coastal Carolina Mar. 12 and Clemson Mar. 25 and 26. At the Coastal Carolina meet, Terra Michael set a school record while finishing fourth in the 400 meters, Kipp Chrismer set two school records, and Ethan Schaffner set one school record. Michael recorded a time of 1:00.87 in the 400 meters, two seconds behind event winner Fatima Shuler of North Carolina. Chrismer set school records in the 100 (11.42) and the 200 (22.61). Schaffner set a school record in the 5,000 (16:23.41). At the Clemson meet, the best finish for the women was recorded by Ashley Smoak. Smoak finished 11th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 20:47.91. The top finishes for the AC men at the Clemson meet were provided by Chrismer, Chris Blake, and Schaffner. Chrismer finshed 10th in the 100 (11.47), and Blake finished 11th in the 100 (12.04). Schaffner finished 13th in the 5,000 (16:39.48.
