Women’s Cross Country Ranked Fourth; Men’s Cross Country Tabbed Fifth in Latest USTFCCCA Southeast Region Poll

NEW ORLEANS – The Anderson University women's and men's cross country teams remained fourth and fifth, respectively in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) DII Regional Rankings, as released Tuesday afternoon.  

The top-10 teams in both the men's and women's polls remained unchanged for the second straight week, with the Trojan women remaining No. 4 for the second consecutive week. Queens, one of four South Atlantic Conference teams in the poll, stayed at the top of the rankings, while Mount Olive, the only team from Conference Carolinas, remained second. North Georgia paced five Peach Belt Conference teams in the rankings at No. 3, with Wingate continuing to occupy the fifth slot. Augusta remained sixth, while Georgia College, Flagler, UNC Pembroke and Lenoir-Rhyne rounded out the women's poll.   

Mount Olive again topped the men's rankings, with Queens remaining at No. 2. Augusta stayed steady in the third spot, while UNC Pembroke remained in fourth place, with AU remaining in the fifth spot for the fifth consecutive week. 

Wingate occupied the sixth spot for the third consecutive week, with Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 7. Mars Hill remained eighth, with Columbus State at No. 9 and Georgia College in the 10th slot.
