Women’s Cross Country Finishes 30th at NCAA National Championships

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Making its first-ever appearance on the national stage, the Anderson University women's cross country team finished 30th at the 2017 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, Saturday morning in the Hoosier State.

Senior standout Haylee Love, who was making her second straight appearance in the Championships, paced the Trojans by covering the 6k distance in a time of 21:55.9 and finishing 53rd. The time was less than eight seconds off her personal-best (21:48.1), which she recorded at the 2016 Southeast Regionals in Montevallo, Ala.
 
Freshman Olivia Evans crossed the finish line in a time of 23:09.8 and finished in 160th place, while junior Allyson Malone finished 187th in a time of 23:27.0. Fellow junior Abigail Bozarth (23:35.5) was 195th and freshman Hannah Beach finished 234th in a time of 24:56.7. Senior Hannah Sanford (25:03.1) crossed the line in 236th place.
