Conlin Named SAC Volleyball Specialist of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. – For the second consecutive week, Anderson University standout Emily Conlin has earned AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Specialist of the Week honors, as announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Conlin helped lead the Trojans to a pair of road victories over the weekend that stretched AU's win streak to six matches. The senior setter averaged nearly 54 assists (13.38/set) and 15 digs (3.62/set) per match on the week.

She opened the weekend by notching a double-double by equaling a then season-high with 53 assists and recording a season-best 21 digs. She also posted three block assists and a pair of service aces in the four-set win over Lenoir-Rhyne. She followed up with a season-high 54 assists and narrowly missed her seventh double-double by tallying eight digs in the victory past Mars Hill, while adding another three block assists.

The Glendale, Ariz., native leads the conference in assists (425) and assists per set (10.90/set), while ranking 11th in service aces (15) and 19th in digs (117).

The accolade was Conlin's second of the season and 10th of her career.

The Trojans are slated to wrap up their three-match road swing at Erskine on Tuesday night. First-serve versus the Flying Fleet in Due West, S.C., is scheduled for 7 p.m.
