ANDERSON, S.C. -- Jamie Lancaster tallied 15 kills and eight aces to lead Anderson University to a 25-9, 30-32, 25-22, 18-25, 15-13 non-conference victory over Augusta State Friday night at the Abney Center. The victory, Anderson's fifth straight and ninth in its last 10 matches, improves the Lady Trojans to 13-10 overall. Amanda Edwards contributed 13 kills and Ashley Prince added 11 for Anderson. Adria Mullaney led the AU defense with 22 digs. Setter Lindsay Doggett finished the match with 41 assists. Augusta State, 8-16 overall, was led by Jessica Howard with 19 kills and four blocks. Setter Kristania Crawford had 32 assists and Lindsey Weider led the Jaguar defense with 19 digs. Anderson will face first-place Pfeiffer Saturday at 1 p.m. That match will be followed by a match between Pfeiffer and Augusta State.
