GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - Sophomore Hailey Pittman led the Trojans with seven kills, as Anderson fell 3-0 (20-25, 20-25, 15-25) to league-leading Tusculum in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon at Pioneer Arena.
Anderson slipped to 8-7 overall and 1-5 in the league, while Tusculum improved to 10-3 and 5-1, having won two in a row and nine of its last 10 outings.
The Trojans hit an uncharacteristically season-low .074 on the
afternoon, with sophomores Shannon Gillespie and Kelly Lacey each
adding six kills. Gillespie also recorded 11 digs, with Meghan
Cautero handing out 20 assists. Sophomore Alix Hooker chipped in a
team-high 13 digs.
The Pioneers' Kassie Voelker and Danae Stauffer shared game-high
honors with 10 kills apiece. Ashley Sarmiento dished out 32
assists and Caitlyn Dean recorded 34 digs.

Tuesday, with first-serve versus the Flying Fleet scheduled for 7
p.m. in Due West.
