Women's Tennis Team Beats Barton

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University women's tennis team swept the six singles matches, winning two first-set tiebreakers, to beat Barton 8-1 in a Conference Carolinas match Sunday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts. Anderson improves to 7-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference, while Barton falls to 3-5, 2-3. Jessica McDonald and Tamra Lawler pulled out a 9-7 victory for Anderson at No. 1 doubles, and Milena Goncalves and Margarita Aheychencko posted an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles to give the Lady Trojans a 2-1 lead entering the singles.
