Women's Tennis Team Improves To 3-0 In Conference

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University women's tennis team won the final three singles matches on its way to a 6-3 victory over Mount Olive Sunday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts. Anderson, 6-3 overall and 3-0 in Conference Carolinas, won two of the three doubles matches and then took victories in singles at No. 1, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6. Margarita Aheychencko and Milena Goncalves provided three of the team points. They teammed up for an 8-3 victory at No. 3 doubles over Emily Escolas and Carol Salgado and then both won their respective singles matches. The loss drops Mount Olive to 3-3, 3-2.
