Coker Edges AU In Women's Tennis

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Coker won two of the three doubles matches and three of the top four singles matches to pull out a 5-4 victory over Anderson University in a women's CVAC match Saturday at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts. The most highly contested of the top four singles matches was at No. 2 singles where Coker's Rachel Lemar outlasted Anderson's Anne Redfern, 7-5, 7-6 (8). Coker improves to 8-6 overall and 5-2 in the CVAC. Anderson now stands at 4-10, 3-4. Doubles -- J. Smith-Lemar (C) d. Lawler-McDonald, 9-7; Salvany-Redfern (A) d.
