Queens Hands AU Women Their First CVAC Loss

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Lee-Deane Elmore pulled out a 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Laura Gorman to lead Queens University of Charlotte to a 5-4 victory over Anderson University in a CVAC women's match Friday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts. Anderson led 2-1 after doubles and won No. 5 and No. 6 singles without losing a game. But the Lady Trojans could not close out the Royals. Queens improves to 2-7 overall and 1-1 in the CVAC, while Anderson falls to 4-3, 3-1. Doubles -- Powell-King (Q) d. Lawler-McDonald, 8-6; Salvany-Redfern (A) d. Rock-Elmore, 9-8; Gorman-Gorman (A) d.
