Women’s Golf Tied for Third in Latest Mizuno WGCA National Poll

ANDERSON, S.C. – With the NCAA South Region Championship slated to get underway in just a little more than four weeks, the Anderson women's golf team moved up two spots and is tied for third in the latest Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Poll, as released Friday afternoon.

Lynn continued to hold the top spot after receiving all but one first-
place vote, while Dallas Baptist University remains at No. 2. Anderson and Findlay shared the No. 3 spot, with Nova Southeastern University dropping two spots to come in at No. 5.

AU, which is currently ranked fifth nationally by Golfstat, won their second straight South Atlantic Conference Championship earlier this week by a decisive 34-shot margin over 15th Wingate and secured its fourth consecutive appearance in the NCAA South Region Championship.

The SAC Championship marked the Trojans' fourth straight tournament title and sixth of the year for the Black and Gold.

The 2023 NCAA South Region Championship will be hosted May 8-10, by North Georgia at the Chattahoochee Golf Club, with the NCAA National Championships slated for May 16-20, in Eureka, Mo.

Limestone, at No. 13, and Wingate at No. 15, joined the Trojans from the South Atlantic Conference in the Top-25.
