Men’s Cross Country Finishes 11th at Florida’s Mountain Dew Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Paced by senior Ty Gleason's 31st-place finish, the Anderson men's cross country team finished 11th overall at Florida's Mountain Dew Invitational, which was hosted by the Gators on the UF Golf Course, Saturday morning.

Gleason crossed the 8k course in a time of 26:47.92, while freshman Daniel Similton was just behind in 34th place after crossing the finish line in a time of 26:50.92. Fellow freshman Michael Burgess claimed 75th place in a time of 27:48.11, with freshman Jonathan Timberlake finishing 100th in a time of 28:13.49.

Freshman Noah Brock claimed 118th place in a time of 28:36.74, with sophomore Noah McLain taking home 120th place in a time of 28:41.47. Junior Matthew Burgess finished 126th in a time of 28:51.90, while sophomore Thomas Sutcliffe was 139th in a time of 29:09.62.

Juniors Phillip Quillen (29:45.80) and Hayden Tuten (29:50.68) finished 172nd and 174th, respectively, with freshman Nicolas Danielski finishing 184th in a time of 30:00.68.

Following a two-week layoff, Anderson will get back on the course at the Queen City Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
