Due West, S.C. – Anderson University men's soccer collected its fifth straight win, defeating nonconference opponent Erskine, 1-0, on Wednesday evening at Huggins Field.
With the win, the Trojans improve to 8-4-1 overall, while the Flying Fleet drop to 5-7-1 overall.
The Trojans took advantage of a penalty kick try in the 12th minute of play. Senior Ryan Tyrer drove home the PK to score the eventual game-winner.
Erskine was on target on seven occasions, but AU's Gal Elyashiv was solid between the posts, recording seven saves on the evening.
The Flying Fleet outshot Anderson 13(7) – 6(3) while winning the corner kick advantage, 10-2.
