Women’s Cross Country Ranked 10th in Southeast Region

NEW ORLEANS - Following a three-week absence from the rankings, the Anderson women's cross country team has re-entered the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) DII Regional Rankings at No. 10.

The Trojans, who began the season unranked but jumped to seventh on Sept. 24, moved back into the poll's top-10, joining fellow South Atlantic Conference members Queens, which is seventh, along with top-ranked Wingate.

The Peach Belt Conference was represented by five teams, while Conference Carolinas had two teams in the rankings.

The Trojans are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Royals Cross Country Challenge, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte last Friday. Junior Sydney Hazel paced the Trojans with a 25th-place finish, while Bari Robinson, Olivia Gardner, Hannah Robles, Grace Gerlock, Amber Worthy, Devan Fisher and Mia Swiersz each posted season-best times.

Anderson returns to action at the South Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday, October 26 at Black Mountain, N.C.
