Weeks and Henson Named to USILA D2 Team of the Week

ANDERSON, S.C. – Cam Weeks and Beau Henson of the Anderson University men's lacrosse team have been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team of the Week, announced on Tuesday (Feb. 22).

Weeks, a sophomore from Mt. Pleasant, S.C., helped lead the Trojans to two non-conference wins this week over Young Harris and Barton. Weeks won 46 of his 51 faceoff attempts, picking up 39 ground balls and scoring one goal.

On Monday, Weeks was named the South Atlantic Conference Astroturf Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week. Before the season, Weeks was named an All-American by the USILA, USA Lacrosse Magazine, and Inside Lacrosse. He was also named to the preseason First-Team All-SAC.

Henson, a senior from Woodstock, Ga., scored nine goals this week, with five of them against Young Harris and four versus Barton. He leads the Trojans with 19 goals and is fourth in the SAC. Henson has scored at least four goals in all four games so far in 2022.

"Beau and Cam have both been playing at a high level this season," said coach Albert Mitchell. "It is great to see them get recognized for their hard work."

The Trojans will be back in action on Wednesday (Feb. 23) as they play host to North Greenville. Opening faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m., with video and live stats available at www.autrojans.com.
