WAYNE, Neb. – On the heels of a season that saw the Anderson University volleyball team reach milestone after milestone, standout setter Emily Conlin has been named an Honorable Mention All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), as announced early Tuesday afternoon.
Conlin earned all-region accolades from both D2CCA and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and on the eve of the NCAA D-II Elite Eight, the Glendale, Ariz., native ranks seventh nationally in assists per set (11.85/set) and is 21st in the nation with a South Atlantic Conference-best 1,292 assists on the season.
She finished third in the conference with 42 service aces and was 21st in the SAC with 339 digs on the season. Conlin earned SAC Specialist of the Week on two occasions during the season, marking the fourth time in her two-year career. She notched 18 double-doubles on the season and reached the 40+ assist plateau on 16 occasions. Conlin already ranks fifth in the school record books for assists in a single season and fifth in career assists.
Joining Conlin from the Southeast Region was Flagler middle hitter Sara Davis (Second Team), USC Aiken libero Rebecca Martinez (Second Team) and Wingate outside hitter Katie Bludau (Honorable Mention).
