Bruning Earns Most Improved Player by the ITA

TEMPE, ARIZ. – Anderson University women's tennis standout Rebecca Bruning continues to garner awards with the latest coming from The Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The ITA has announced the 2016-17 Division II regional and national award winners on Monday, May 8, 2017, at the 2017 Division II NCAA Tennis Championships in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Bruning was honored by the ITA as the most improved player (senior) women's tennis player in the Southeast Region. The Athens, Ga. native held a 2017 singles record of (20-2, 9-1 SAC) pushing her overall career singles record to a remarkable (65-13, 36-5 SAC) and a 2017 doubles record of (21-2, 10-1 SAC) posting a doubles career record of (59-23, 31-12 SAC). Bruning is currently the No. 19th ranked women's tennis player in the Southeast Region while holding a No. 7 doubles ranking.
