ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University women's tennis team continued its outstanding play rolling past South Atlantic Conference opponent Lincoln Memorial; 8-1 Tuesday afternoon at the LMU Tennis Complex.
Anderson improves to 16-4 overall and 9-2 in conference action winning it last seven of eight while Lincoln Memorial drops to 10-7 overall and 4-6 in SAC play.
The Trojans took an early 3-0 advantage after the doubles portion while running away with the match in singles play. Anderson won five of the six matches to set the final score at 8-1.
The Black and Gold are enjoying their best record under head coach Joey Eskridge with the Trojans eclipsing the 2015 win total of 15.
Anderson returns to action when it travels to nonconference rival Erskine on Friday. First serve is slated for 11 a.m.
