Women’s Soccer Stumble at No. 12 Carson-Newman

JEFFERSON CITY, TENN. – Anderson University women's soccer fell for the first time this season in South Atlantic Conference action, 2-0, to No. 12 Carson-Newman on Saturday evening at Harvey Stadium.

With the loss, Anderson drops to 4-5 overall and 4-1 in SAC play while Carson-Newman movers to 7-3 overall and 5-1 in conference action.

The Eagles used a goal in each half of play to secure the shut-out win over the Trojans. Carson-Newman struck in the 6th minute and the 76th minute of action.

The Eagles offensive attack proved too much as the defending SAC Champions outshot the Black and Gold 34-2 while winning the corner kick advantage 13-1.
