ROCK HILL, S.C. – Helping Anderson University women's soccer to a perfect 3-0 SAC start, sophomore Kirsten Armetta has been named AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for matches played Sept. 25 – Oct. 1, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Armetta played 76 minutes in the overtime victory at Lincoln Memorial scoring the golden goal just inside the 91st minute of action.
On the season, Armetta has made all seven starts scoring two goals and being credited with three assists. The forward from Berlin, Conn. has taken 12 shots with five coming on goal.
The Trojans return to action on Wednesday when they host SAC foe Queens. Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
