Women’s Basketball Moves Up to No. 2 in the D2SIDA Southeast Region Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. – The Anderson University women's basketball team moves up two more spots to claim the second slot in the Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, as announced by the regional committee on Monday.

The Trojans enjoy their highest ranking of the season (No. 2) earning the highest ranked team honors from the SAC. Newberry drops to a tie for third with Wingate while Carson-Newman lands in the fifth spot. Tusculum sits in the nine hole with Lenoir-Rhyne and Lincoln Memorial knotted up in the tenth position.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fifth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

Anderson returns to action on Wednesday when it host SAC opponent Lincoln Memorial. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
