Louisville, Ky. – Anderson University softball senior Joshlyn Martin and freshman Kayson Boatner earn a spot on the 2019 NFCA Division II All-Southeast Region.
Boatner was named to the first team and is currently batting .369 with eight doubles, two triples and 15 homeruns. The native of Fortson, Ga. led the league with 56 RBI and tied for first in homeruns. For her efforts, she was named to the All-SAC First Team and to the SAC All-Tournament team.
Martin earned second team honors and leads the team with a .418 batting average, while hitting a team-high 18 doubles on the year. The native of Fountain Inn, S.C. was most recently honored as the South Atlantic Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first and second-team selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2019 NFCA Division II All-America squads.
The 2019 NFCA Division II All-American teams will be announced on Wednesday, May 22 at the NCAA Division II National Championship Banquet in Denver, Colo.
